The Center for Wooden Boats will unveil designs for the $6.6M Wagner Education Center on Friday. The 9,600 square-foot facility will include a classroom, workshop, gallery and exhibit spaces and will be built just west of the Center in South Lake Union. The center called in the big guns, Seattle architect Tom Kundig, to design the new facility. Construction is expected to begin Spring 2014 and should take about a year to complete.
