Schemata Workshop, an architecture firm based out of Capitol Hill, has big plans for Sola16. According to plans that they'll take before the Design Review Board on Wednesday night, they want to build a new energy-efficient, 13-unit apartment building at 2351 Franklin Ave E. The proposed building will feature open unit plans with balconies, utilize daylighting and incorporate on-site solar energy production. A two-story house currently on the property would have to be demolished first.
