A quick scan of the Design Review Board records indicates that Vulcan is considering building two new office complexes along 8th Avenue N between Thomas & Harrison Streets in South Lake Union. Preliminary plans call for two seven-story, 195,000 square-foot office buildings with 2,000 square feet. of street retail as well as 290 underground parking spaces, one at 300 8th Ave. N and the other at 333 8th Ave. N. Those spots are currently home to a King County Library Building and parking lot, which would be razed. An early design guidance meeting is scheduled for October 9.
