Saltworks Wants To Be Ballard's Creativity Incubator

New, 1 comment

Ballard has been a neighborhood in transition for a while now. Finding a way to mesh it's shipyard past with artisan present has been a challenge for many developers. InHaus Development is hoping to buck that trend with Saltworks, a 39-unit complex at 5601 20th Ave NW that they hope will "create an incubator for the next generation of creative people in Ballard." The ground floor will consist of six live/work units while the five floors above it will contain 33 residential units. Plans also call for energy efficient appliances & fixtures, shared garden space, rooftop patio, 18 parking spaces and 39 bike spaces. The project will go before the Design Review Board for early design guidance on Sept. 30.
