Towns all over Washington are looking at millions of dollars in sewage system needs and upgrades. Enter Blue Array, a Vancouver, WA startup that uses rows of metal shipping containers modified with pipes and pumps to treat the sewage and send the wastewater to lagoons. Other than monthly fees and maintenance, the service doesn't cost taxpayers, a big change from the $8-10M costs associated with updating current systems. [KPLU]
