What $1,250/Month Can Rent You in Seattle Right Now

Welcome back to Curbed Comparisons, where we scour Seattle's rental listings to see what your monthly budget will get you across the city. This week we look at rentals for $1,250/mo. You tell us which lease you'd sign.

We begin in Belltown where you can get a 531 sq. ft. studio in Seattle Heights on the corner of 2nd & Vine for $1,250/mo. Lots of building amenities here, including 24 hour concierge, two party decks, a full gym, an indoor pool, sauna and a business center. Unit itself looks well taken care of and modern. Seems like it's right in the range of what you'd expect in Belltown.

Next we're off to Maple Leaf where you can find a 550 sq. ft. studio at Thornton Place for $1,250/mo. The commuters version of the previous studio, this one puts you within easy access to I-5 and Northgate Transit Center. Lots of shops and eateries right downstairs as well.

Next up we pop down to Capitol Hill where the studio at 409 10th Ave E "won't be available long" according to the listing. Located inside an early 1900's solid brick building, this unit features hardwood floors, arched entryways, ample closet space, central radiator heating and on-site laundry. If you're not concerned with modern amenities, this might be more up your alley.

Next we go to Ballard and Ballard Place Condominiums where you can get a 525 sq. ft. studio for $1,250/mo. Building amenities include concierge services, sauna, fitness center, rooftop patio, 2 large spas, conference room and business center. Unit includes tile flooring & carpet, granite countertops, stainless appliances, dishwasher, stacked full-size washer/dryer and balcony.

We end the tour in Northgate where you can finally stretch your legs out in this 950 sq. ft. 2-BR basement apartment. At least we assume it's a basement apartment judging by the windows and door placement. Looks like good condition and includes own washer/dryer, dining room, living room and kitchen. Good spot for commuters and/or North Seattle Community College students.
