This 'Home of the Year' Near Leschi Park is Asking $1.388M

Back when there was a thing called Metropolitan Home Magazine, they named the 3BR at 101 Euclid Ave. in Leschi as their "Home of the Year" in 1992. Located on a sloping 6K sq. ft. site right next to Leschi Park, the 3,000 sq. ft. home has hit the market asking $1.388M. Architect Tom Lenchek (of Balance Associates) build the home along with wife Mary from the ground up with a desire to make sure it blended in with the green, wooded surroundings. Vaulted ceilings, huge windows and skylights let the light in while views of Lake Washington are visible inside and out. Energy-efficiency was a major factor as well and despite its size the home only costs $200-$300/year to heat. The home has been on and off the market a few times since 2010, listing for as high as $1.45M and low as $1.295M. Guess they're giving it another shot somewhere in the middle.
