Equity's 40-Story Downtown Seattle Luxury Tower Breaks Ground

It was back in April 2013 when we found out Equity Residential was moving forward with their plans for a 40-story apartment building at the northeast corner of Second Avenue and Pine Street. A year and a half later, they finally broke ground on the luxury tower they have planned for 204 Pine St.

The complex will include 398 apartments, 3,500 sq. ft. of street-level retail, and 217 parking stalls. A five-level underground parking structure with 144 stalls will connect to the tower as part of that. Building amenities are expected to include 24-hour concierge, lounges, theater room, fitness center, rooftop deck, dog lounge, pool, 40th floor dining space, ZipCar spaces, e-vehicle charging stations, bike storage and changing rooms for bike-commuters.

WTGBD, a joint venture of Weber Thompson and GBD, is the architect. Equity is planning for completion of the project in summer of 2017 and they expect to receive LEED certification or silver rating.
