Welcome back to Curbed Comparisons, where we scour Seattle's rental listings to see what your monthly budget will get you across the city. This week we look at rentals for $5,000/mo. You tell us which lease you'd sign.
↑ Lets begin in Capitol Hill where you can rent a 1,700 sq. ft. 3-BR penthouse at 1966 Harvard Ave E for $5,495/mo. The unit is furnished and all-inclusive, set up to be able to rent daily as well as monthly. It features sweeping 180 views inside and two large decks outside to see just about everything from. No elevator in the building and there's a minimum age requirement, so keep that in mind.
↑ If you want something a bit homier, let's go to Magnolia where you can get a 5-BR/3.5 bath house close to Discovery Park for an even $5,000/mo. The 4,060 sq. ft. home features warm wood flooring, views of Ballard Canal and well-landscaped backyard.
↑ Next up, Denny Triangle, where another penthouse awaits. Unit 3301 at The Cosmopolitan is priced at $5,500/mo. Somehow, the interiors feel grounded even as you look out floor-to-ceiling windows to everything Seattle has to offer. Includes building amenities such as concierge, gym, spa, rooftop deck & business center.
↑ On to Westlake where we find another furnished place, this one a 2,100 sq. ft. 3-BR house that you can get for $5,695/mo. The home is recently remodeled and boasts a master kitchen with granite counters, stainless steel SubZero refrigerator, Viking range and Miele dishwasher. The spa-like bathrooms come with heated floors and other fancy upgrades as well. The loft-style bedroom really stands out.
↑ Finally we go to Leschi where you can get a 2-BR/2-bath home on Lakeside Ave for $5,000/mo. The listing calls it a condo but it sure looks like a house to us (and previous sales of the property back that up). Spacious at 2,735 sq. ft. and it puts you right on Lake Washington where you can dip your toes in from your backyard. Includes a dock for your boat as well.
