What $1,000/Month Can Rent You in Seattle Right Now

Welcome back to Curbed Comparisons, where we scour Seattle's rental listings to see what your monthly budget will get you across the city. This week we look at rentals for $1,000/mo. You tell us which lease you'd sign.

Let's begin in Maple Leaf where you'll find a 738 sq. ft. 1-BR at Maple Leaf Plaza for $995/mo. The unit has large closets, plenty of light and a large bedroom while the building includes garage parking and laundry on each floor.

Next we head to The Embassy in First Hill where you can get a studio (unknown sq. ft.) for $995/mo. The second floor Northeast-facingstudio features original hardwood floors, granite countertops and a "dual entry" walk-through closet. Not for those seeking modernity, the location is the real sell.

Now we head north to Ravenna where we can get a 510 sq. ft. studio at Varsity Apartments for $995/mo. About equal distance from Green Lake and University Village, the building is in the middle of its own walkable neighborhood as well. Hard to tell if photos in the listing are photos of the actual unit, but, you get a sense nonetheless.

Next, to Capitol Hill, where Apt 101, a new 246 sq. ft. studio, is available at 1814 E Denny Way for $1,000/mo. A modular construction, this place comes with imported granite counters, hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances, full size washer & dryer and a private deck. The building is also Certified 4-star Built Green.

Finally we go up to Fremont where a 900 sq. ft. 1-BR is available at 4231 Fremont Ave. for $1,000/mo. Available for short-term rental or longer, it's located just a block from the burgeoning North Fremont scene. The unit features a large kitchen, dining area and also a extra room that can be used as a kitchen nook. Washer/dryer shared in the duplex.
