If you don't know, L. Jane Hastings is a big deal. A Fellow of the AIA, she was the first woman to serve as chancellor of the AIA College of Fellows. Her firm designed over 500 mostly residential buildings in the Seattle area. And she accomplished all of this in a time when female architects were a rare breed. A 4-BR designed by Hastings at 3905 NE Belvoir Place hit the market over the weekend and, as you might expect, you probably already missed your window. The light-filled Northwest Contemporary is already pending, though you can keep your fingers crossed if you've got $1.25M ready to go. The open floor plan, large-scale windows and strong wood accents stand out but the landscaped grounds around the home might be as impressive. There's even a built-in doggy door for the pooch. It's a Seattle home that seems to have everything you'd want, which, of course, is why it might already be gone.
