Good Bar Opens Saturday; Paseo Kickstarter Falls Flat

This week's top hits from Eater Seattle, Curbed's sibling bar, restaurant, and nightlife blog.

KICKSTARTIN' -- A Kickstarter campaign to reopen the abruptly shuttered Paseo has fizzled out. Backers have withdrawn more than $5,000 in the last few days, with new pledges remaining stagnant. In an update posted yesterday on its Kickstarter page, Savvy Orders says that when "some of the previous employees explained that they were not interested in working with us, we offered to turn the Kickstarter over to them." His offer to turn the campaign over to staff last received no response from many, "except for a couple of them who have said 'please don't contact us.'"

COMING ATTRACTIONS -- Rachel Marshall announced Rachel's Ginger Beer will be opening in the new 12th Ave Arts complex on Capitol Hill. In addition to their growlers of seasonal and classic ginger beer flavors, they'll offer carbonated draft cocktails as they do downtown The food focus will be on crispy fries from Monica Dimas (of Mkt.) with a ton of different dipping sauces.

OPENING ALERT -- Originally scheduled to open this past summer, Good Bar is finally ready for public consumption in Pioneer Square. The new bar from Kamala Saxton, Roz Edison, and Josh and Nancy Kelly of Marination fame, is set to open its doors on Saturday.
