When Stanford Hotels paid $16.75M for a one-third acre parking lot at 1903 Fifth Ave. in 2013, you just knew something big was coming. It's finally time to get a look at plans for that big thing, a.k.a. a 50+ story hotel/residential/retail tower. Architecture firm MulvannyG2 and a group associated with Stanford will meet with the design review board on December 16 for early plans, which call for a 500-foot tower with approx. 286 hotel rooms, 90 apartments, 133 condos, 10K sq. ft. of hotel amenity space and 2K sq. ft. retail space. If completed as-is, it would become at least the 13th-tallest structure in Seattle. At the meeting point between Belltown, Denny Triangle and Downtown, the location probably couldn't be better for what's to come in Seattle.
