This week's top hits from Eater Seattle, Curbed's sibling bar, restaurant, and nightlife blog.
EATER MAPS — All too often, dining out on Christmas Day means patronizing your local hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant. But in Seattle, your options mercifully include a much wider range of restaurants. Eater has nine picks worth checking out—including a brand new spot and two fancy day trip options.
OPENING ALERT — For practical purposes, you can consider Zhu Dang, Capitol Hill's new "updated" Chinese restaurant, open for business. Technically, the restaurant is still doing "soft openings" for the rest of this week and opening officially next Tuesday at 5 p.m.
THE SHUTTER — After 33 years, Santa Fe Cafe is shuttering on Phinney Ave. According to a staff member, the landlord is not renewing the longtime restaurant's lease. The restaurant's last day in business will be New Year's Eve.
