The Blume Company and design firm GGLO present their plans for 624 Yale Apartments to the design review board on Wednesday for a recommendation. What they're presenting is plans for a 9-story structure containing 204 residential units above 1,800 sq. ft. of retail as well as below-grade parking for 114 vehicles. With Amazon leasing a nearby building at 1260 Mercer, it's an ideal spot to take advantage of a growing, local workforce looking for housing. If the renderings come true, they also hope to create a "visual punctuation" at the terminus of Yale Street. Punctuation or not, looks like it'll be a nice place to live (for the Amazon employees who can afford it).
