Local entrepreneur Leon Capelouto and Nicholson Kovalchick Architects will bring their plans for a mixed-use complex at 42nd Ave and SW Oregon St in The Junction neighborhood of West Seattle before the design review board on Thursday for recommendation. Before they do, we got a chance to see the latest renderings for the six-story project, which will include 50 residential units (41 residences, 9 short-term lodging units), 3,500 sq. ft. of retail and 15 below-grade parking spaces. Building amenities are expected to include community space, roof deck with west-facing views and a plantable garden area, secure bike parking, and "connected living" with high speed internet. With a hope of breaking ground in February, completion is estimated for mid/late 2016.
