Just as Seattle got back a renovated state-of-the-art movie theater, it's about to lose one of it's oldest homes for arthouse cinema. Landmark Theatres told CHS on Tuesday that The Harvard Exit has been sold and will close its doors in January. Built in 1925 as a clubhouse for the Women's Century Club, the building is not a landmark but it well-loved by independent and foreign cinema fans for it's lobby and fireplace. The new owners are yet to be confirmed but O'Steen LLC, the current owner, has been seeking a buyer for a long time.
