You Can Call This Historic Tacoma Craftsman a 'Safe House'

Purchased as a wedding present for a prominent Tacoma attorney and his bride, the 1913 Craftsman-style 4-BR at 401 N J St. in Tacoma also came with a bonus gift stashed deep inside. The new owners of this North Slope Historic District home were surprised to discover a secret safe hidden behind a wood panel in dining room. Roughly 12x12, the empty safe is the perfect size for storing valuables or money that you'd like to keep hidden away. It's not too surprising to find such a thing in a house here, the North Slope Historic District was an area many early Tacoma professionals and celebrities have called home. And in case you were wondering, no, there weren't any buried treasure maps found inside the safe. Drats.
