When is a garage not a garage? When it's been transformed into a combination lounge, meditation space, and artist studio with stunning views of Puget Sound. Seattle-based design firm Graypants, Inc. made just that happen when they were commissioned to rework a run-down Vashon Island carport into something new. Using only some of the original wood, the entire building was revamped and repurposed, creating an illuminated experience that takes advantage of the natural light surroundings in more ways than one.
