Population Shift

For the first time since 1910, the city of Seattle is growing faster than the King County suburbs surrounding it, according to Census data. The reversal speaks to a larger trend seen all around the country. In fact, Seattle has the eighth-fasted population growth out of the 50-most populous American cities. We guess it shouldn't come as too much of a surprise that more apartments opened in Seattle last year than any time in the past 20 years. [Seattle Times] Photo: Jeff Wilcox
