The part that doesn't sound good is the news that Seattle area home prices slipped 0.5% in December, making it the third consecutive month-over-month decline. The part that sounds really good, however, is the news that 2013 still ended with the best annual home appreciation since 2005. Seattle-area home prices are up 12.4% from December 2012
Seattle area home prices increased 12.4% from December 2012. That puts Seattle right in the middle of the pack in the 20-city index, which was up 13.4% overall.
