Restored Studio In U-District Mission Revival For $219K

In 1930, prominent architect Everett J. Beardsley brought some serious Spanish Colonial Revival design to Seattle with the El Monterey Apartments in U-District. Today, a restored and modernized studio apartment on the ground floor is for sale, asking $219K. Maintaining much of the building's original mission feel, the 634-square-foot space is chocked full of little touches and accessories. The building & apartment seem to evoke a sense of the old world that new-world modernists just won't understand.
