Anthem on 12th Breaks Ground On Yesler Way Revitalization

After receiving design approval in July, Spectrum Development Solutions announced Monday that it has broken ground on Anthem on 12th, the first private development of the Yesler Terrace neighborhood revitalization.

The six-story, 120-unit apartment building will be one of the first true workforce, transit oriented developments in the First Hill neighborhood. Twenty-percent of the units will be set-aside for individuals and families earning 50 percent or less of area median income (under $50,000 per year) with the remaining units targeted toward families earning on average 85 percent of area median income. The apartment mix will be comprised of studio, one and two bedroom apartments and is targeting LEED Silver Certification. Located at 12th Ave and East Yesler Way, Anthem on 12th will also include 4,000 square-feet of ground floor retail, a rooftop deck with a dog run, BBQ areas, and a community garden with individual planting boxes. Spectrum says they are also working with Bike Share on a corner location to provide up to 20 bike stalls and all units come with a bike rack. The plan is to open doors in mid-2015.
