It's not looking good for supporters of Prop 1 and it's probably not going to get much better. With approximately 82K ballots left to count, 55% of voters are rejecting a sales-tax and car-tab increase to help fund King County Metro Transit. At least 73% of the remaining votes would have to be for Yes in order for the measure to pass. If the proposition does fail, plans for cutting as many as one-sixth of bus-service hours just as ridership will move forward. The next update is expected Wednesday afternoon.
