GREENWOOD—Tom Nissley, who won over a quarter million dollars on Jeopardy!, is bringing that knowledge to the book business. He's taking over Santoro's Books, which he recently acquired for $35K. He plans to shut down the store for renovations for a few weeks before reopening it as Phinney Books. [MyN]
DOWNTOWN— Stonebridge recently filed a city permit for a 300-room hotel at 924 Howell St., which would include parking, retail space and restaurants. The hotel management company owns over 75 hotels and has been looking to break into Seattle for some time. An unnamed source believed that Marriott was expected to be the tenant. [PSBJ]
BELLEVUE—Jeff Jabson, a.k.a. Weirdo, had added his touch to the Soma Towers Apartments, which are currently being built. The Seattle artists has painted photorealistic, graffiti-esque art on the west side of the building. The project is meant to help change the idea that Bellevue is a city without culture. [DBN]
