Seattle Mayor Ed Murray announced a $45M proposal on Tuesday intended to head off Metro transit cuts in the city following the disastrous vote against Prop 1 last month. The plan, which will go to the voters again in November, calls for a $60 vehicle license fee for Seattle residents and a 0.1% sales tax increase. New funding would not come in time to prevent all cuts, some of which are slated to begin in September. Find out more details here. [PSBJ]
