Welcome back to Curbed Comparisons, a column that explores what one can rent for a set dollar amount in various Seattle neighborhoods. Is one person's studio another person's townhouse? Let's find out! Today's price: approximately $1,300/month in and around Seattle.
Right at the bottom of Queen Anne Hill you'll find Gordon Apartments. Inside, Unit 103 is asking $1,175/mo. The renovated studio is only 450 sq. ft. but makes up for the lack of size with details and trim of an era past. Other amenities include large double hung bright windows, refinished natural hard wood floors, brand new granite counters, dishwashers, phone nook and original built-in refrigerator.
Over at 617 5th Ave W, Unit B1 is asking $1,195/mo. The 550 sq. ft. space includes carpeted floors, washer/dryer in unit and a balcony. Pet rent (and deposit) will run you extra, FYI.
Next up, we cross over to 1800 Taylor Ave N where Apt 312 is also asking $1,195/mo. Lake Union view from top of Queen Anne from this 574 sq. ft. third floor unit. Hardwood floors throughout along with throwdown rugs. Heat and hot water included, which is nice.
Finally, we head over to 1302 Queen Anne Ave N where APT B is available for an even $1,200/mo. This 550 sq. ft. studio with den is available in June and includes large windows, in-unit washer/dryer and a claw foot tub. Heads up, when work currently being done on the building is finished in September, rent is going up to $1,250.
