This week's top hits from Eater Seattle, Curbed's sibling bar, restaurant, and nightlife blog.
BALLARD— Crab Louie, anyone? Yesterday, Ethan Stowell officially opened his tenth restaurant, Chippy's. The 600-square foot spot serves Oregon Bay shrimp cocktails, chowder, and five kinds of fish and chips with plenty of dipping sauces (spicy mayo, remoulade, classic tartar, malt vinegar mayo, cocktail sauce.) Plus, a full bar with a focus on craft beer and whiskey. Check out Eater's photos of the gorgeous new space.
BOOK SHELF—"I think that printed cookbooks will always remain and be strong. In many ways they are the new art book." Lark's John Sundstrom shares his home cookbook library in a new interview that features the chef's longtime favorites and the newer titles that fill his digital cookbook library.
OPEN THREADS—It's officially patio season, and Eater is collecting reader nominations for favorite outdoor dining and drinking spots for an al fresco dining map that will run just in time for Memorial Day. Share your picks.
