Charles Lawrence Mid-Century Modern Asking $1.29M

AIA award-winning architect Charles Lawrence was born in Seattle, studied at UW and spent a sizable chunk of his career here along with architectural partner George Hazen building homes, apartments, medical centers and churches, amongst other projects. His 2-BR at 1534 32nd Ave S in Mt. Baker just listed for $1.29M and it's a fascinating look back at where Seattle architecture was in 1947. You first notice the kitchen with its domed eating cove and view of Lake Washington. Lots of vintage touches including the wood-clad den, view terrace with iron fencing and the retro railing & stairs down to the massive sport court below the house. Throw in the garden space and saltwater pool and you've got an classic Seattle mid-century modern that's stood the test of time.
