Seattle-area home prices continued their steady climb in April according to the S&P/Case-Shiller index, which was released Tuesday. Average single-family home prices in King, Snohomish & Pierce counties rose 2.3% from the previous month. On the year, that means local home prices are up 11.2%. That's 14 consecutive months of double-digit gains, which is impressive, even it's still well below the 2007 peak. Meanwhile, King & Snohomish foreclosures are down 1.4% from the previous month and down 2.1% YOY.
