Consider Yourself a Top Chef? Better Live in Lakeridge

We see a lot of real estate listing boasting chef's kitchens, so clearly a lot of Seattleites fancy themselves chefs. Those that do might want to consider moving to the Lakeridge neighborhood on the southeast corner of Seattle, which Redfin recently named the Fourth-Best Neighborhood in America to be Your Own Top Chef.

Redfin compiled homes for sale that mentioned food-friendly features such as gourmet kitchens, vegetable gardens and chicken coops while factoring in homes within two miles of farmers markets and good grocery shopping options. Lakeridge has easy access to culinary shopping options in Seattle, Tukwila and Renton, including the Columbia City Farmers Market, and also has a high percentage of homes with great kitchen features (27%).

We decided to look around Lakeridge to see if there's proof in the pudding, so to speak. For home chefs, this 4-BR comes with a chef's kitchen, complete with a huge granite island. Meanwhile for those interested in growing their own food, this charming 1943 home has a fully-fenced yard with apple trees and raspberries.
