Amazon Adds Another 270K Square Feet to the Ama-Zone

Every time you think Amazon is done snatching up office space around Denny Triangle, they go and grab another 270K sq. ft. Or so it seems. Amazon recently signed a 10-year lease for the entire building at 1915 Terry Ave. Currently owned by Seattle Children's Research Institute, the 1953-built, seven-story building has been mostly vacant for the last few years. PSBJ notes that the move is sure to disappoint real estate developers who would have loved to have turned that into a new high-rise structure to match growing neighborhood development. Amazon now leases or owns more than 5.2M square feet of office space in Seattle, not including future construction in the works.
