While Seattle-area housing prices just keep climbing thanks in part to low inventory, it looks like downtown Seattle condo prices have run into a bit of a stall over the same issue. According to the latest Condominium Pricing Index by The Mark Company, new downtown Seattle condo prices were down 3% in July compared to June. At $724 per square foot, that's still up 9% from July 2013. On the same trajectory, new construction inventory was down 11% month-to-month but still 13 times higher than it was in July 2013. Currently-available units include 190 or so residences at Insignia, 10 condos at Carbon 56, six units at the Four Seasons Residences and two condos in Escala.
