When Mack Urban presented their plans for a 16-story, mixed-use building at 1301 Western Ave. to the design review board, they were given a list of recommendations and changes. They've returned with those changes in mind with updated renderings that show off a streamlined building concept for an August 19 meeting. Notable changes from the previous renderings include simplified window & wall patterns, an extended brick base, expanded street-level canopy coverage and landscape refinements. When completed, the complex will include 169 residential units, 3,600 sq. ft. of retail and 130 underground parking spaces.
