Back when it was Hotels Week, we featured Kirkland's Heathman Hotel as one of the pet-friendliest in Puget Sound. This four-star hotel isn't just for the dogs, however, it's also available to the highest bidder. The 91-room hotel is officially for sale, according to PSBJ. The 150-room, 10-story Portland hotel of the same name is also on the market.
Meanwhile, Bellevue has signed off on the design of a 234-room hotel at 210 106th Place N.E., though it's not clear when construction might begin.
The Bamboo Gardens building will be demolished and replaced with a seven-story Marriott AC with one- and two-bedroom guest rooms, according to the city's Thursday land-use bulletin. The hotel will have a lounge and bar with indoor and outdoor parking, meeting rooms and a 106-stall underground parking lot. This will be only the fourth Marriott AC hotel in the United States, featuring contemporary lobbies and sleek amenities. In other words, it's the "hip Marriott hotel."
