The Seattle metro area finished eleventh of the list of 2014's best performing cities, according to a new report from the Milken Institute. The region that includes Seattle, Bellevue and Everett ranked sixth on the list in 2013 but dropped precipitously 2014, more than any other city on the list. Quite a few Texas metros shot past Seattle as tech hubs grew up there as well as in North Carolina. The Portland metro, which includes Vancouver, WA, finished 16th overall, up five spots from 2013.
