Tonight, Mercy Housing Northwest and Ankrom Moisan Architects will present plans for a mixed-user at 6940 MLK Jr. Way S called Mercy Othello Plaza that could not only add lots of affordable housing to the neighborhood but ultimately make a big difference in building a sense of community and growth. Plans call for 108 affordable housing units across two buildings with a mix of one, two and three bedroom apartments. Approximately 5,000 sq. ft. commercial office space and approximately 2,500 sq. ft. of sales & services space are also included, as well as 45 parking stalls. The two-building scenario is based on the Low Income Tax Credit funding the project has received, which will determine tenant specifics for each building. Mercy Housing has developed and manages almost 2,400 affordable rental homes throughout the region.
