Of their many upcoming projects and buildings, Amazon took plans for a full block bounded by 7th Avenue on the east, 8th Avenue on the west, Blanchard Street on the south and Bell Street on the north, a.k.a. The Hurricane Cafe Block, before the design review board last night and we got a good look at revised renderings for what they have planned. Plans for what they're calling Block 21 still call for a 24-story tower along 7th and Bell, a seven-story structure at 8th and Blanchard and a one-story building on 7th. Between them, they'll contain 835,200 sq. ft. of office space and approximately 35,000 sq. ft. of
street level retail. Plans also call for the creation of a whole bunch of outdoor spaces, including 7th Ave Plaza and 8th Ave Hillclimb. Just across Blanchard Street will be their Block 20 project and one block south will be the infamous spheres, which means future generations are going to think of Denny Triangle way differently than we will.
