The historic 7-BR estate at 81 Olympic Drive in Shoreline, otherwise known as Brookwood, is referred to as "The Jewel of the Highlands" in the broker babble. Doesn't seem like anyone has been all that interested in said jewel so far. Originally listed in April 2012, the sprawling 4.5-acre property asked $6.8M. Built by legendary Washington State architect Elizabeth Ayer and featuring a remodel by Sullivan Connard Architects & Berger Landscape Architects, that seemed fair enough, in theory. Just over 1,000 days later, they're still tweaking the price to find an interested party. Last week, the asking price dropped to $5.2M, which makes it a 30% drop from the original ask (down $1.6M), and officially puts it at the same price it was last purchased for in 2000. Will the price finally be right for this historic home that comes with two master suites, a pool complex and three-story carriage house/guest home? We'll keep an eye on it.
