VITAL UPDATES -- No longer contemplating a move to the Eastside, Jason Wilson is keeping Crush in Seattle. After fielding offers on the space, the chef says he's taking the Central District restaurant off the market. Crush celebrates ten years of business on February 20.
OPENING ALERT -- Greek restaurant and bar Omega Ouzeri opens at 3 p.m. today in Capitol Hill's REO Flats. The concept from Thomas Soukakos (Vios Café & Marketplace, Vios at Third Place) is centered around meze. Twenty different small plates are set at $6, $8, $10, and $12. Two to four make a meal, including cured beef and cheese pie, smoked trout salad with black-eyed peas, and grilled octopus with goat horn chile vinaigrette. The drink list includes ouzo and a full selection of Greek wine; Omega claims it's the only bar in the state that pours the Greek pomace brandy Tsipouro.
