Quite Literally an Open House, Eric Cobb Modern Asks $1.9M

New, 1 comment

Eric Cobb Architects say that they enjoy working on projects "requiring a high degree of innovation and detail." That would explain Open House, their 2009 construction at 1114 32nd Ave S, currently on the market asking $1.9M. The name isn't just a cheeky way to get you to pay attention on the real estate market, it's actually rather literal. On both levels, an exterior wall on lifts opens at the touch of a button turning an interior living area into an upscale indoor/outdoor space. Downstairs, it opens up to a patio and yard perfect for summer meals. Upstairs, the living area practically connects you to nearby Lake Washington. Deceivingly-simple, the 4-BR seems to include only glass, concrete and steel, but there's more packed into it's 3,065 sq. ft. that it seems. Built-in bunk beds and a ladder to...somewhere...give the kid's room a playful, modern feel. And as for guests, they're "stuck" with the bed tucked in a corner downstairs...that is, when you're not hosting soirees.
