Remember Scimitar Ridge Ranch? The 70-acre Fidalgo Island property went to auction back in September 2014 and hit the open market asking $19M. The getaway includes, amongst other things, a nine-bedroom house, chapel, multiple converted barns, horse stables, carriage house, office with two apartments and million-dollar sculpture. So if anything was going to sell for that much money around here, it was probably that. But, it didn't. So now it's back on the market at $$8.9M, a 47 percent drop in asking price. In a way, that's actually more in line with the historical value of the property. Before the auction, it had been listed in the $8-9M range. Once owned by the heiress to the Ralston Purina fortune, it's been called "Washington's 'Camp David'" and it's probably going to take someone with heir or heiress in their title to snatch it up once again.
