One of the perks of living in Mukilteo is saying 'Mukilteo' and knowing there's no other town in America, and probably the world with that name. The perk that you may appreciate more, however, is that $1,770,000 gets you a 7,000 square foot house on a hill overlooking the Sound and across to the Olympics. An unobstructed sunset view is worth a lot, especially on a hillside where the neighbors would have a hard to building high enough to cause a problem. There are 4 bedrooms and 5 baths, which many houses have, but few have a master suite that can enjoy such a view. Looking inside, the timber framing is like a log cabin that decided to dress up when it got to town. There are large beams and natural stone, but the rougher edges are outside or in the rafters while everything is smoother the closer it gets to where the living and working get done. They did a good job on the balance between natural and refined. The drive to Seattle may be too much for many, but the bus runs there and lots of folks don't work in Seattle. Some even get to stay home and enjoy the view.
