Where to Eat During Seattle Restaurant Week; Where Padma Lakshmi Ate in Seattle

This week's top hits from Eater Seattle, Curbed's sibling bar, restaurant, and nightlife blog.

EVENTWIRE -- Seattle Restaurant Week is in full swing, with more than 165 restaurants offering three-course dinners for $30. (Some also offer two-course lunches for $15.) The promotion runs from October 18 through 22 and again from October 25 through 29. With so many restaurants to choose from, Eater asked perennial participant Thierry Rautureau (chef-owner of Luc and Loulay) to weigh in with suggestions of where to eat.

FOOD MEDIA -- Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi has been in our midst the last two days, and surprising no one, she's dined well. Eater has been tracking her movements, which included stops at How to Cook a Wolf, Pike Place Market, and Mamnoon.

MENU PORN -- Get set, Naka fans: There's already a mushroom feast on the books for next week, and now comes word of another development at young Shota Nakajima's new kaiseki restaurant: a four-course, $35 bar tasting menu will debut Wednesday, October 28. The new bar tasting menu will change monthly, always featuring a protein, rice, soup, and dessert. Eater has a preview menu.
