Where to Eat for Thanksgiving; Jason Wilson Planning Bellevue Restaurant

This week's top hits from Eater Seattle, Curbed's sibling bar, restaurant, and nightlife blog.

EATER MAPS -- This year, we're thankful for the restaurants that stay open on holidays, and it's especially important for those of us with tiny kitchens and no idea where to store a roasting pan. Eater has a list of restaurants open on Thanksgiving, as well as bakeries selling to-go pies, breads, and more.

COMING ATTRACTIONS -- When Jason Wilson closed his Crush restaurant back in August, he spoke of opening a new restaurant at some point. Now he's announcing more details: the James Beard Award-winning chef will bring a restaurant to Bellevue's upcoming W Bellevue hotel, to be housed in the Lincoln Square expansion. The restaurant is currently slated to open in the summer of 2017.

MEALS ON WHEELS -- Chef James Pech has more than a decade of experience working in the Seattle food scene at such places as, Blind Pig Bistro, Altstadt, Hitchcock, and La Spiga. He recently left the kitchen line, leaving behind the grueling hours and inflexible schedule to spend more time with his 3-year-old daughter. But he's back in the apron, working with a couple of Amazon alums to produce Gather, a company bringing fine-dining caliber entrees and salads to your door for a better home dining experience. Pech prepares the food to order and it comes straight to your own table, delivered by food delivery companies already working in the city.
