Cornerspotted: Eleven Eleven Pike Grows Up & Up

Yesterday, we asked you to guess the location of Harry's Place in Seattle, pictured here in 1953. We didn't see any correct guesses so we'll just tell you. It's 1111 E. Pike Street in Capitol Hill.

Image: Wikimedia This spot is now the home of Eleven Eleven East Pike, a condo building designed by Tom Kundig. Long gone is Harry's Place, though you can still get something refreshing or delicious downstairs at Cupcake Royale. Times have changed this Capitol Hill spot but it's one of those occasions where you don't quite mind how it's evolved (or maybe you do?).
