Renovated 1909 Red Madrona Home Hiding Modern Makeover

New, 2 comments

The first image of the listing for this 4-BR at 631 35th Ave in Madrona caught our eye as a classic-looking Seattle home from the turn of the 20th century. And then we clicked through the rest of the photos and wondered, "wait, these are the same house?" Turns out, yes, the modern renovation becomes much clearer once you step inside and take a tour out back. The wainscoting, box-beam ceilings and reading loft take us back in time but the modernized kitchen bring us back to the comforts of modernity. Light wood floors couple with big windows to keep everything warm and bright. The master bedroom is a real gem with a bay window, walk-in closet, and private deck. Plenty of room to get away in the artists studio/guest room downstairs or the rustic backyard. This 2,830 sf. home asking $945K reminds us where we've been and also takes us where we're going.
