Are you a renter in Seattle? Did you get the sense you were paying a lot this year? Did you realize you were paying out over $10 billion this year alone? Well, not you specifically, but ALL of you did. Per Zillow, Seattle-area renters paid out $10.2 billion in 2015, the 10th-most in the nation.
Across the region, average rent was $1,922/month, which was up 7.2 percent in November. That number is 8th on the list of most expensive metros in the nation, all of which are way above the national average of $1,382.
Just remember, it could be worse. San Francisco's average rent in November was $3,325.
