Architect Jon Pettit's Bainbridge Waterfront Home Asks $2.15M

Jonathan E. Pettit, AIA, was a managing principal with architectural design firm DLR Group before he passed away in 2013. The Bainbridge Island home he built for himself and his family in 1991 is now on the market asking $2.15M. The 4,748 sq. ft. waterfront house is reminiscent of late 19th century New England coastal homes and takes advantage of its southern Port Blakely beachfront exposure. Inside, it features woodwork of rosewood, ash and cherry by local craftsmen and a definite appreciation of the square in wood and window designs. Upstairs, three bedrooms get views of the water and a shared balcony for when you want to get a little closer. The master suite takes up the entire third floor for privacy and peace of mind.
