Cool Map Thing

Despite the fact that Sunday was the third-wettest Seattle March day since 1894, we all know that the Emerald City's reputation as the Rain Capitol of America is a bit overblown. Climatologist Brian Brettschneider set out to prove once and for all that Seattle isn't even close to being among American cities with the most rainfall. His analysis and map show that Seattle trails Atlanta, Houston, New York, and Washington, D.C. to name just a few. Of course that won't stop the next TV show or movie filmed in Seattle to show nonstop rain in every scene. [CityLab]
